Posted by George Hoerner on 01/12/14 at 01:41 AM Let's face it, "the ends" as a whole are still unknown. Morality and sin are determined by the hitting of a judge's gavel, at least "the ends" of that particular action. What an individual law enforcement officer looks at as being a "sin" determines to some degree which law he does or doesn't enforce. There are many actions which occur every day that may be "sins" but don't break any real law. Philosophically we will always be floundering and looking for those things which are permanent or true if there be such things. That may be what you are still wrestling with or not. Hell, we still don't know if our definition of what reality is will hold up over time. I still like the write as I feel much the same way at times. |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 01/13/14 at 03:03 PM if people appear to be floundering it is owing to some probability that some flow or current has been lost and that they are waiting for some cue from some source, human or otherwise, to dictate to them how to live, all the while not taking their own cue, meaning what the hell are humans waiting for, to do what they do best and what comes naturally and is more than second nature to them, that being, having an extensive knowledge in knowing how to love. humans are absolute geniuses at such, having so much of it in their storehouses to nurture every human being on this planet save humans have become more frugal than Silas Marner and will not dispense of it, for fear they will diminish their coffers, when in fact love cannot be diminished, but is perpetually gathered unto ourselves. humans may be one hundred percent water, but they are one hundred percent love. so let us love now while we may and who needs to make sense or to abide by some moral or superfluous law, when you have love, the great emancipator, and all around curative? |
