2014-More of the Same?

by Quentin S Clingerman

What is there to look forward too
What is there that will realy be new
What is there that will be worthwhile
What is there that will truly be in style?

Looking forward to God's steadfast grace
Looking forward to an old but smiling face
Looking forward to seeing God's grace
Looking forward to having His reflection on my face.

Looking forward to having His reflection on my face

having such reflection on one's face is certainly something to look forward to. what better guiding light? what better source for warmth?

i love this, it's so bittersweet and inspiring. The repetition of the last line speaks volumes and there is a lot between the lines in this poem, beautiful and real.
