Proved Otherwise

by Philip F De Pinto

The muses were twittering
Among themselves
To the effect that we
Who carried their jocks
Were not to be made privy
That flocks are
Too easily gathered
In the absence of light strewn about

They trust us not to be circumscribed but pared;
Halved as the orange moon we hardly knew
A lamb in the skew
Of a cloud which cried
I was free ranging once
Then free ranging died of causes au naturale
Now I'm a born again quince
Ceasing the muses from twittering
Albeit they continued to keep watch
On the flocks who toted their jocks
To the effect that a cloud cried once
Damping the absence of light strewn about;

Until I stumbled into your eyes
Love was a Sasquatch
Merely a rumor as were muses
Until the copious odes and fur compiled
In my bed proved otherwise

I have stumbled into eyes of love and any one who has should consider themselves very fortunate. Nice write Philip.

HHAHAHA, I love this and it makes me feel like love is real: "Until I stumbled into your eyes Love was a Sasquatch Merely a rumor as were muses Until the copious odes and fur compiled In my bed proved otherwise" "Love was a Sasquatch" I want that on a t-shirt!
