No Bones About It, You are Still My One Wish by Kristina WoodhillDon't say you don't remember
That night we both dismembered
That it wasn't just another
Of my wild unlikely dreams
We'd gathered at your edgy place
Where nervous tics abound and space
Is limited to joints
Unhinging from their points
Of reference where deference was given to our screams
We were loud,
We were loud and long in our howls,
We howled like deep baying
From the nether never lands;
No attempts at Peter Pan's
Weak kneed
Nattering
Of never growing old
We were bold
We wore cold icy lips waxed from bowls
Feigning quips
Like
Pull yourself together, man
Unhand me and scram, man;
Falling over heels,
Our heads were spineless yet controlled
Long story short
If you doubt this odd report
I've
Got the photos
Got the goods
Got a video surreal
Of you kicking up my heels
Of me picking you apart
Held your throbbing tender heart
As you totally disarmed me
And our grins rocked with the beat

Posted by Linda Fuller on 10/31/13 at 03:23 PM A rollicking paean to Halloween makeup sex? Your first two lines are an irresistible hook, and the image "...of you kicking up my heels..." is frightfully good. Into my favorites. |
