Truth And Son by Philip F De Pinto
Truth is a junky
With a simian on his back
And a talking dummy on his knee
Who is his son - himself a junky
With a monkey on his back
And a talking dummy on his knee
Who is not his son
But has assumed the likeness of truth - his father
In this case imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery
But is only passing down a hooked tradition
From monkey to junky father to dummy junky son to dummy junky father
The all of which were hooked the moment
An arm was felt impaling the back of each
Wiggling the limbs and the mouth of truth all the way down the line
