Wending Their Way

by Philip F De Pinto

Elephantine by necessity
The manifold candles of you
Preening their light in me
As will not quell their tusk to the nadir
As are rekindled to their acme
By the clicking of your jaw's perfume
Your waving adieu still tossing its acoustical brick
Through the vitreous regions of my will
Shards copious wending their way
Take careful aim to bleed recollection in my brain

Tight! especially love the way lines 4 and 5 lock down their predecessors into my memory box.
