Ribbon Candy

by June Labyzon

It’s always about the music.
Better left unheard,
unseen
Who knows what these walls can hear;
sugar coated g clefts
ribbon candy chords
It’s always about the music.
Music and stories
fornicating on the pure white page.
Poetic copulation
The raunchy munching
on the wannabes,
starting with no ideas
bringing the structural desires
to the surface.
Lubricated words sliding
in the air
Acoustic guitars, Hallelujahs and Lutes
It's always about the music,
better left unseen.

you have basically described the process. for this is how it is. this is how we arrive at poems. with all that lubrication sliding in the air how can we not? as far as words copulating on the page, I take the worry out of such creating to huge a crowd on the page, given all my words, at least the ones who are fit to call themselves, male, are donning protection.
