I Miss You

by Jeffrey Parren

Enveloped by the cold grasp of loneliness
I try to remember what it feels like
to feel passion within a simple kiss.

The unrelenting warmth within
that gentle moment.

It's been a half-dozen years
since I truly lived under love's will.

Love, I miss you.

funny how you know it resides in yourself, the love you feel for another...how perfectly zen of you

to miss someone we love is is an sense missing ourselves in the equation of that love. if you miss one, you essentially miss two.
