So Sad Are You

by Joe Cramer

so sad are you
from what you know
in your heart to be true

not knowing what to do
or where you should go
as thoughts become few

those old wounds run deep
late at night they creep
into your slumber, your sleep

until finally, all you do is weep

Really interesting and very well done Joe. I've tried more than once to write about my mother and have a hard time. Mine were divorced when I was 6 or 7 and I only saw my mother 5 or 6 times before she died in her mid 80's. The last two times she didn't know who I was. This was very well done.

This is lovely and sad... My parents also struggle still with a difficult marriage and my mother has been clinically depressed since I was a kid. I think people underestimate the impact that has on a child growing up. Well done, Joe, and thanks for sharing
