Me: being have been and will be, is

by Rob Littler

Sometimes I will stand outside myself and watch my figure working, acting
Interacting, hearing the reverberations of my voice
Echo through that immediate criticism—
I am thinking about the infinite choice
I have in this third schism, as I finger the image
Of me watching myself doing what I must
To continue to flame, to burn
With lust and desire, yet merely
and most non-humanlike, to simply be.
Knowing still, it is all the parts which synergize
The me.

Catchy piece Rob. Both in the title and text; fascinating piece of introspection.

The third schism. That's very amusing. And most human-like. A wonderful poem, Rob. Thank you.
