Eternal Diving (final) by H.M StevensCaught by you
Under the Marriott Marquis
Undone
Perfect rendering of man's great hand
50 floors of winding panopticon maze
heart of the sky
wayward north
we escaped
600 labored steps
within a glistening emerald cocoon
10,000 years stuffed of rain and sun
higher along an earthly tread
we climbed
under fallen mass of roaring, warring flood
every lifetime within millions of lifetimes
Propelling from the magnificent reach of a god
Each moment, a frozen thrust (and then drop) from the sky
Stepping into
and onto that splattered rocky ledge
water's singular shot - our bearing

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/12/15 at 06:42 PM This quite breath taking, tension built on "labored steps", "under fallen mass of roaring, warring flood". Love the word and idea of the panopticon. I feel I could fly after reading this. Thanks so much! |
