Blue Ink by Joe CramerMy pretty pen
makes the laziest
of circles
across the pages of my life.
Sometimes it just
feels right,
and so very often
it simply doesn't.
I wasn't
going to say
just any old thing,
I just wanted to see
what words would spring
from my pretty pen.
It never does end
once again,
I begin. I sputter, putter
and flutter
like the words
that splutter
and spill
across the pages,
across the pages
of my life. 05/14/2013 Author's Note: ... I always use a fountain pen to write, with blue ink.....

| Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 05/15/13 at 10:55 PM I love the feel of your writing, your genuineness. I wish that I would tell you more often. Because one day a while back, I thought/was worried we'd lost you, and I am so glad you are here. This poem reminds me of my own pen and me. I always write with black fine point. |
