as long
as there is a will
there is a way
so they say
and
not everyone
is dead set
on patterns
to leave them
where they lay
you wake
I sleep
you descend
I rise
but soon
I will
be wise
to your tricks
I will not
sleep when it
is customary for me
to sleep
but will break custom
and remain awake
to see you rise
then watch
me leap
to the rare occasion
we are both
in the mood
and the spent god said
to this new order of things;
that it was good!
