A Wind Queries

by Philip F De Pinto

blush risen
to cheeks
are the flares I launch
through the canisters
of my despair

while a wind ceasing beeline
boomerangs suddenly to query

who are ewe?

needless to say
I am ram
bound to a lifeless equation
waiting predation
and love's conflagration
singed me to this tree
is free
to declare elsewhere
and bind other rams

while the memory of love's embrace
comes garroting in your stead

like a pastel painting I remain adfixed

where the branch
and olive meet
where your retreat
still thunders in my ear

in a flash

you go where
I cannot
so you declare
and night moonless in cahoots
has covered your whereabouts
to make certain
futile would be pursuit
and with love's conflagration
you go gathering other rams
to singe to lifeless equation

still;
blush risen to cheeks
are the flares I shoot through
the canisters
of my despair

while a wind persists to query who are ewe?

having nothing further to declare
or sufficient breath to declare it with
save to say I am ram and the thunder of your retreat
still echoing in my ear

Ah my master beware of despair's cansiter, with little effort it grows in the mind large to over flowing. Very very nice!
