Telepathy

by George Hoerner

a stranger among strangers
i live my life wishing
not to be a stranger
but when one is strange
barriers both tall and small

keep them at arms length
never take the chance
for those who have tried
are lost in a dense fog

as one with aphasia unwilling
or unable to communicate
except in a language
no one understands

a braille written in stone
eons ago when reading minds
was still prevalent

Nicely put George. I feel very much the same in some regards. I wrote a similar poem once called Alien. It's on my list of near future postings.

Thank You! Some understand, some may even remember. Some may remember that they are beginning to forget, and some have already forgotten. "eons ago when reading minds" - I take it as it stands that you know something about telepathy, and ancient humanity. Both in that the timelessness of this line which appears to represent both present and past simultaneously. Enjoyable piece.
