what keeps me going by Shannon McEwenIn the soft spreading light of early day
Tangled limbs and dampened sheet
Well placed hands and bodies splay
Air sweet with love’s artificial heat
No more sense of preterition - instead
Layered kisses and limber rides
Every inch remembered, hungers fed
No fear remains, no resentment hides
Only the left over emotions held dear
Playful kisses and satiated minds
Love replaces the smallest fear
Inner peace and life reminds
