Random uses for the word of the day

by Shannon McEwen

After a long held breath
Turning putrid
Finally escapes tight confines
Travels up and bursts out

Only to scatter in the breeze
And evaporate
Into random rays
Of brilliant sunshine

Forgets why it was held
Against its will
Opens arms and smiles
Until nothing else matters

The only gaumless thought
The one that decided
To loiter with self pity
And talk crap about nothing

Author's Note: Note: I get an email with dictionary.com word of the day. The word today was “gaumless” meaning “lacking in vitality or intelligence; stupid, dull, or clumsy.”
