Author's Note: 13 years ago, I flew out to San Francisco to meet my mother for the first time. On August 29, it will have been seven years since she died. I miss her.

It's simple, but I really like the sense of space here. It feels distanced and honest, regardless of having read your explanation. Nice. And I'm sorry.
