life and death of waves by Laura Doommist veils
an all-consuming conflagration
there is no grieving
a smashed glass
on heathland at midday
the sunset is unseen
a westerly breeze
defrosts the garden
daffodil and primrose kiss
poet and publicist
contrive
to occupy each other's ground
the sky seals
an unfathomable sea
choice is a stone
meditation at midnight
the third eye opens
mystic minds
swaying trees foreshadow
the drunken roll of clouds
a storm is brewing
blindness takes perfection
by the hand
the prospect is plain to see

Caveat:
any resemblance between this construct and haiku/senryu/form poetry of any description is entirely occidental; I hereby claim immunity from persecution by reason of stunted spiritual development, under the 'Author's Proviso Note' get-out clause [2-Ez].

Posted by Paul Lastovica on 03/10/13 at 07:35 PM Nothing stunted here. I especially enjoyed the 5th and 7th stanzas; and how 'choice' and 'meditation' foreshadow the foreshadowing sway of trees... if that makes any sense. |
