love
above all will
live as long
as love will live
to prove that love
is not merely a word
murky at best
so we've heard
purveyors say
who are not themselves practitioners
who will live as long
as they can prove wrong
we the partakers of such
who live neither to prove nor clarify
love
is no mere response to laying down of arms
but is a calling to arms
unconditional and enfolding
the singular holding
the other to plurality
and what better reaping
than arms sowed in each others keeping
