Branch Dividian

by Johnny Crimson

You're so Helena Bonham
as your gash disappears in the shade,
where the beasts await your climb.

Keep me purged,
as the watching birds look on,
their still eyes slowing the pace of the world
just long enough to track our movements.

Life phantom ,life phantom ,make me a match
blind me in ash,
catch me a gash.

The Riverforks Cave system had been dammed up for some time.
Vern cafefully watched the rippling of the water flowing downstream
into the chaos of the Forked Pass Falls.

Dipping his finger into the stream
and putting it to his tongue,
he knew he was growing closer.

She always tasted like that in Spring.

Mentioning Helena Bonham sets this haunting stage perfectly. Loved the "life phantom" ditty in the middle. Tightly packed, nothing wasted, loved that last line.
