Danny MY Brother

by Junemarie Roldan

Oh Danny my brother
Never thought I'd miss you so much
our talk, our laughter, the sadness between us.
The movies we'd watch, especially 'The Phantom'

We had a strong bond between us forged out of
the deprivation and unfulfilled love we sought
Our whole lives long from a mother who hated us.
We had each other

Now you've gone, to that place in the sky
Where you always wanted to be.
And although I am happy for you
I am lonelier than ever

Forced to walk alone, by myself
Till our Father comes to claim me
Sits me on His lap, and embraces me
with all the love I've never had.

Now I am finally whole,
Can actually smile with my whole heart
Because we are together Unbroken for all eternity

Your devotion to your brother, Danny, comes through clearly, Junemarie. I like how you can look forward to the time you will be together again.
