The Gaze of the Doe

The Gaze of the Doe
by Gail Wolper ·

God's stories last until no one hears--Jim Harrison

When it comes time to part with Him, you will not be sad
Instead it will be a time when you will find joy.
Meditation breathes life into places it has destroyed.
That which is burned down always beautifully regenerates.
The time has come to tear down the rigid walls of a house;
What remains will be the lovely clearing in which it was built.
You will sit crossed legged at the entrance waiting for the gathering of the deer.
A doe and fawn gaze at you, unafraid.
When you have attained that, you will understand why.

In WY I have been within 20 feet of an Elk and 10 feet from a Mouse. Niether of them was fearful, watchful but not fearful. I wish you the best of luck, though there be little envolved and very nice write!

Worthy combination of nature and humanity. Nice dramatic tension throughout also.
