remember
well
wretched figures
with gnarly elbows
dimpling unto pillows
well into their arid years
pestering us from
windows - shouting
to come in
from our Youth lest
we catch our death of it!
well we caught
our death of it alright
O but to be slain once more
by such pelting down
of youth
as will never rain
down
on us
again
