over all other options to inure
the silk from the moth of our love
there was the chrysalis like a star's fixation
to drip into our wee goblets and sip to our heart's soldering
before we were shamed
into opting vexation
we were no more apart than pistils are
from monarch papillon
or your lips
prior their hovering over
and pollinating mine
