Crusader In Tandem With A Fox

she fled from such procuring charm
as would have crusader laying down
a cape that she might not have to trample mud
to get to the other side of the street
which wasn't particularly sunny
but fraught with shady fox leaning against lamp post
feigning a read of the New York Times
who for chickens like herself
fleeing from such charm
as would do them harm
hasn't ruffled in quite some time
