what falling in love will do one or a pair

A white man fell
In love with a black
Woman he had been courting
In a firestorm of criticism from the
Old folks at home and those not so old on the street
Despite the bitter critique said white man and said black woman
Soon thereafter got engaged and soon after that
Got married and soon after that went on their honey moon
And soon after that the white man carried what seemed
The whole of the African Continent across the threshold
Out of that black and white experience the black woman became pregnant
After nine months of gestation she conceived Siamese Twins
One light one dark who grew up to be scorned by the old folks
at home and those not so old on the street and in addition
Were scorned to bitterness in whatever neighborhood
they chose to make their official residences
And that is what falling in love with one or a pair - one dark one fair
