In Fear And Trembling by Philip F De Pinto
A goodly number of leaves
Strewn about the base of a tree
Some fallen flat on their alizarin faces
Others flatter on their behinds looking up
At the considerable population
As yet clinging in fear and trembling
Daring each in raspy tones to leap into faith
And who arrived upon this mutilated scene can help but weep
And pray the Lord their souls to keep
When it is their turn to leap into faith
Not leave it to the whim and mercy of rakes
To sweep into mulching mounds of technicolor
