Look At Me by Philip F De Pinto
Look at me
I'm walking
Away from you
Look at me
I'm talking
Behind your back as I do
But it's all lies all lies I tell myself
Or would tell you
Save you are too busy walking
Away from me
And talking behind my back as you do
But it's all lies
All lies you tell yourself
Lies which are not true
Otherwise they would have been
The mortar that binds two
And they would have
Save we stopped telling them
Whispering their sweet nothing in each others ear
Out of some unfounded fear
And so look at us we're walking
Away from each other
Look at us we're talking
Behind each others backs as we do
Lies all lies
The all of which we will be telling ourselves
All the way all the way
Down the road
Till we meld with points
Which are vanishing

Posted by George Hoerner on 01/19/13 at 08:33 PM Not lies Philip. Sometimes it just takes a long time to understand what the words really mean and in the mean time we think they are lies. Even when we talk to ousself sometimes it sounds like lise but there is more than one reality and until we step and contact he/she with whom we would communicate it all sounds like lies. Even sometimes after. |
