most things come and go
as well they should - knock on wood!
but you are slow in doing so
on no grave marker will you find
the name - pain
born on such and such a date
died on such and such a date
the dearly beloved of such and such a pain in the ass
why is that pain? pain
where do you come from and
why do you stick around
longer than you should?
pain don't you know you shouldn't
wear out your welcome like you do?
pain if we hadn't been playing tag that day
would you be chasing after me this long?
of all the pain in the ass players in all the world
why did I decide to tag you that day?
and now that you are tagged are determined
to tag me back over and over
pain - if I wasn't trying to be so brave
would you bug me so?
pain - why don't you go and reign supreme
in somebody else's life for a change? pain pain go away
and be somebody else's steady girl for a while
or please come back another day and if you do
I promise we will play the livelong day
or as long as you like
or you could just take a long hike
pain - why do you ride me so?
pain - what do you gain by being a pain?
pain - why do you look me dead in the eye?
pain - why don't you turn your back a while
until I can find a better place to run and hide
