Ode To What Never Was

or could be
and how could we
ever be
all the buzz
when only God can make a bee?
how can thee
and I ever be
when only God can make three
minus one makes an us
but how can us be two
when only God can concoct such glue
as binds two
evermore? therefore
the most a buzz less duo can hope to do
is pen an ode - an unreasonable facsimile
to what never was
nor e'er could be
given we've never met
how can we be estranged or say our sun has set?
but not our glue
sun set for a duo who never met
all things being unequal
how could there ever be a sequel
to what never was or could be?
