Pause by Christel CrewsToday, I hit that moment
That moment when the world
The world Pauses
Pauses and I can’t hear myself think
Think that I truly can not
Can no go on
On with the charade
The charade that kept me going
Going around the questions
Questions that go unanswered
Unanswered because all I get
All I get are stock answers
Stock answers that answer nothing
Nothing of the need
The need to know
To know there will come a time
A time when I will be able to find
To find a better day, a day of peace
Peace and happiness

Posted by George Hoerner on 01/17/13 at 02:16 AM I've come to the conclusion that peace and happiness come from within first. Not splash and there it is. Just the slow recognition that you can't control everything, you can't be responsible for everyone else’s problems, you can't save everyone. We all have a hard enough time saving ourselves. We must learn what we can and can't do. At 75 I still look for a love I know I will never have because can't exist. I demand far too much and it isn't fair to the other one. So settle for what I have, which is far more than I deserve, and still look for the possibility.... And we all play the charade, some better, some worse. Good luck! |
