impossible san francisco by Cassandra Leighit was a stroke of
unadulterated
fortune, your easy gait carried you
into my life with
the coming of autumn:
matter-of-factly.
and with two bottles of
wine, an old couch and
many, many words,
we made Tuesday our own:
it was so easy
for you, as for children,
answers
interrupt only more
questions.
the world seems a much
smaller place if I look through
your eyes, the day begins
at sundown, we young and
wild are not quite
innocent as crowds
part and cities bow
before our light. 04/29/2012 Author's Note: old (HR)

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 01/15/13 at 12:37 AM Very well expressed Cassandra! Really like how you take something very personal, and make it more worldly at the end. A feeling I've happily known more than once in my lifetime. Thanks for the reminder. :o) |
