the reason there are no puddles by Philip F De Pinto
in the room
is because
sisyphus has been
rolling tears
up a full length mirror
where you've done your best weeping
whenever someone stomped in the vineyards of your heart
mauve tears rolling down a full length mirror
on which you weep
tears which the mirror cannot sop up
lacking pores
tears which he cannot see or feel
for reason he has turned callous or simply chooses to ignore
or he has fallen asleep
or has died of natural causes
which leaves sisyphus
to roll mauve tears back up the mirror
a mirror which cannot see or feel or sop
the full length mirror
where you sowed so many tears
time to reap reflection now not heartbreak
time to turn around and walk away
from that mirror
and never look back
at sisyphus rolling tears
up a full length mirror
sisyphus who will be so relieved
he will weep tears of joy
which he will roll back up
tears which will be his own at least
rather than yours
which the full length mirror
cannot feel see or sop
