Location is Everything by Kerowyn RoseI sit back and watch others
try to be the me in your life;
clamoring for my spot
in your heart.
I know why they want
that prime real estate,
but they
do not belong.
If I did my job right,
my space will never be
vacant; only room for me.
I do not share precious things.
For instance, your real estate
in my heart is not a lease,
nor is it for sale.
You own it outright.

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 12/11/12 at 09:49 PM Nice follow through on this metaphor. I really like "the prime real estate" reference, and that 3rd stanza gets right to the heart of you. Thanks. |
