To Pornography's Daughter

by Chris Sorrenti

    for Annie Sprinkle

Maybe it’s the way you performed
in “The Devil In Miss Jones”
or was it “Satisfiers of Alpha Blue?”
the python was a definite bonus
mechanized flesh gyrating over satin sheets
kisses and orgasms just for the fun of it
and what the images did to me
I’m much too shy to say

But tell me though
were you ever a ‘daddy’s little girl?’
life no more complicated than
skipping rope on Barbie Doll afternoons
or were you already born ‘Our Lady Of The VCR’
forging blue celluloid into gold?

And I want so much to be with you
coursing forever through that perfect world
no romantic illusions or killer diseases
threatening what we all love to do

I see you as not to be criticized
rather envied
immersed in that Cadillac of fantasies:
a chartreuse limousine
cocaine and champagne
hot tub on the floor
I saw it in “Foxtrot” or was it “Debbie Does Dallas?”
the whip was a definite bonus
volcanic action building to a white hot climax
and what the pictures did to me
there is no need we tell

No doubt the holy condemn your masterpieces
those naughty adventures may indeed lead to Hell
but in the end you’ll have the last laugh
when they’re cold in the ground
dead and gone
you’ll still be making friends you’ll never know
your best years burning bright on the video

I usually think that pictures like that are....but in this case, the photo goes with the words. A Great read for a chilly December morning!
