chasing time by Charlie Morganmy lunch waits for me; until i show,
it lies dormant, un-changed. hah!
i've got control in my world, hah!
so don't tamper with me. be full of care.
it's a fools dance you enter when, upon you
the foot-race time has chosen is exacted;
you will tire, early; and your last
vision is just the dust and heels;
the day is yours, i'm included.
there you go; here i am.

Posted by A. Paige White on 12/07/12 at 06:59 PM Well, I've been chasing you since you got all Pathetic again but you've been ignoring me. Ima go pout in another library now. This is cute darlin. Whoever they are, they're lucky.
Posted by Gail Wolper on 12/07/12 at 08:58 PM I love this one but do feel it could benefit much from more detailed puncgtuation, the lines are arrhythmic, irregular, which I know is deliberate and good, but could not figure out how to read it until many reads, and then still not positive
Posted by Joan Serratelli on 12/07/12 at 10:34 PM Charlie- do you ever stop to take a breath? You write with such spirit and death- another gem
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 12/08/12 at 08:17 PM I like the poetic playfulness, yet serious also sides of this, Charlie. And as you've so eloquently pointed out, Time is always the Overloard.
