What Robert Felt Today

by Gail Wolper

by Gail Wolper
·
That feeling you feel when things will never be right
that feeling that the world you loved crumbled in childhood
That 95 years is too long a life for one man
and everyone you ever loved on this godforsaken earth is dead
the world is now a place worse than you ever thought possible
and people smile at you in your wheelchair as if you are stupid
and in their way
is
there
no
way
out-
