Apt. 5J Lake Street

by Johnny Crimson

I just learned that Hitler
liked cold rooms.
It's obviously easier
to make rash decisions
when you're entirely uncomftorable.

I can remember you,
even after my brain gets flushed.
You hang onto the brain bones
obviously.

There's a party Saturday
that you said you "NEED"
me at in caps,
and I'm not about to disappoint.

Is it weird
if my cousin comes along?
Is it weird that my wife wasn't invited?

I think I lived under 5J whilst you were there. You blasted Blue Cheer at sundown and took potshots at Domino's Pizza drivers.

That first stanza kills me. Brilliant, dry, dark comedy.

I agree with Gab. That first stanza really pulled me in. The rest equally as lively and thought provoking.
