And You

by David Maurice

And you,
there with lilac underlip
arced fizzing

And you,
downtrodden, bedridden,
under the mattress
for a change

And you,
tense with the hour
easy with minutes
seconds escaping
through and through

And you,
dreamt on a whim
left on a limb
curled in a bow
high on a bough

there is a lovely cadence and view to these stanzas enough to entice further musings.
