But. But. Butt Drapes. Tanks to Artur D2
by A. Paige White
…and here I am
My concern, how to hang the butt drape
Positioning a butt drape is strategic
Not to be taken lightly in a wifely world.
I saw a couple of interesting headlines in the outside world
7.7 earthquake in California
Superstorm’s impact will be huge
I gently kiss his forehead and feel it for fever
He’s had chills in the night 3 times.
They’re calling for snow possibly by Tuesday, 2-4 inches.
Our beloved Scooter, recovering from the knife too
Is abed, miles from here, but only a phone call away.
Here I am hanging onto a rope
That red, red-scarlet rope of hope
Like Rahab’s scarlet rope of hope in the window
When the spies came again for to take the land
I befriend the rope of a scarlet hope in the window
And Lord let it be read like the blood you shed
On the window of my soul.
"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil" (Hebrews 6:19).
A tropical storm warning has been issued
between Cape Fear to Duck, N.C.,
while hurricane watches and high-wind warnings
are in effect from the Carolinas to New England.
Oh my beloved, be well
Get well faster yet
Do you know how to tell when it’s the right time
on a mud slide for a true “YE-HAW” yell?
When your butt leaves the seat.
How can I umpire
IF I am playing ball?
He planted turkey tails
in my flower pots
For my inky turkey tales
but this is the only a feather
I saw some stories of sandy stormies
And winds that monstrous blow
Then for heaven’s sake, an earthen quake
And rumors, by Tuesday, of 2-4 inches of snow!
Author's Note: I don't pretend to guess how you pronounce his last name but he tagged me in his poem, "old man" with lines 13-15, "but. but. butt."
