Heart Warmth

by Jody Pratt

It stirs up like dust in wind
and flames in hay,
and falls on you
like sunshine in the mid of day.

A muster point or look out
built in rock and clay,
stands tall in you;
a giant far, far too large to slay.

It's strong as iron and steed
and powerful,
and with it you
ride shielded to no enemy.

The blanket that keeps you safe
and covered tight,
and whispers well;
wishes well to your dying day.

This is a very poignant heartwarming poem, Jody. Thanks for sharing it. Nice way to start a long (Thanksgiving in Canada) weekend. Happy Turkey Day to you and yours.
