This is Your Poetry by Elizabeth ShawUnder an internal sun
elongated bodies make love
beyond their realm.
This is your poetry.
To see beauty
and to want for that beauty
its leaf full off
is to glow beyond limb
the finger’s reflex.
When I read your poetry
A joy intrinsically core
to the beauty that is my own internal sun
finds its roots
in the shelter of your creature’s art.
I blossom under its shade.
