Antidote

by A. Reed

A complicated poison I am to you
the antidote of my sufferings
whilst you would not believe
to be the cure of my disdainful path
I hold reserved confidence of your elixir

The lotus flower that holds mysterious
the foundation of my belief and growth
blooms in effigy of a blank slate love
of circumstantial methodology both macro
and micro consuming transcending qualitatives

To you I love in the utmost of clandestineness
amongst the folds of my soul like currency
savings for the day of reckoning as though bells ring
atonement echos here be this the man of me
that of the finality of times I should admire to

I hate the word "elixir", so the fact that I loved this poem so much should say a lot.

I loved it too and I have no problem with the word elixir. Your pen name got my attention (a read?) ;-> and I'm glad it did. Will be glad when one of the admin finally update my pen name to reflect my marital status to A. Paige White.

this poem flows smoothly and slowly as a glacier, and contrary to glaciers is warm and articulate in nature.
