In the Corner

by Joe Cramer

I sat in the corner
watching life pass me by,

pass me by

always passing me by.

I wanted to say something
instead, I just looked and smiled.
On passes the parade,
this same tirade
of life.

I am forever watching
life pass me by.

I find myself relating much to this..we work more than we should and we do what we wish to do less and less..we need to find a common ground..great write Joe! thanks!

"I just looked and smiled." This line changes the whole complexion of this poem - nicely done.

I agree with the complexion of the poem changing with smiles...as if there is a secret cosmis joke we should all be in on, and are.
