The Wind And I by Joan SerratelliIt looked nice,
The sun was out
I was bored
and these 4 walls
suddenly closed in
on me
I ate lunch,
put my coat on
and ventured out
It was fine...
until I went
down the steps
The wind nearly took
my breath away
Instead of going
back to the house
I put my hands
in my pockets
and walked
up the street
I guess I walked
about a quarter mile
I turned back
and came home
But it felt really
good...
like I had just done
something
wonderful
I feel better
I don't feel trapped
I have an option
