Purple Hearted Daisies by Alison McKenzie
He found her
On a carousel of feathers.
Her long hair
Burnt his brain
To focus,
And her voice
Inspired vibrations
He’d never written.
He ate them
With dandelion soup
And purple hearted daisies.
She startled him to heaven,
Several times a day
At even intervals -
Food for his soul.

Author's Note: Not my usual style (if I even have one). The fractal I made inspired it.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/23/12 at 03:13 AM I like this very much; quite evocative in a surreal Salvador Dali way. For me, has more impact though without that third stanza. |
Posted by Ken Harnisch on 02/23/12 at 10:12 PM as gorgeously eclectic as the fractal which inspired it! |
