Starlight geezer

by Keith D Allison

The time of soft wind
now are gone
the echoes
March in the night
whiskey and the blues
let it come to you

Oh that woman
Dragging the cold winds
of pain
with purpose
to
drive it into the soul

Oh free the night
Dark
oh so dark
her soul
but I love her so

Bring the whiskey
play the blues
rap the breathing heart
Spirit irritation
she brings the grief
but I love her so

Just another day
the pen so wimpy
with nothing to say
the starlight, Is empty
that mistress of mine
lord knows
I love her so
So I dance in her gift of pain

loved the title, but then read the poem, which I liked even better!
