Broken

by Kate Demeree

Broken

There are times in life when
Words hurt more than silence
Times I can’t put the words
Together to make sense
All are a jumbled heap
Now and then
One or two floating to the top

No…

Don’t

I can’t

Please

No more…

Let it Stop…

God help…

I can’t…

Times when inside is just
Broken pieces
Raw meat…

Tears

We have missed your writng Kate..I am sorry it comes from such pain and hope that more tranquil and happier times follow this loss and the words you evoked to commemorate it.

writing not only eases the pain, Dear Kate, but your writing eases ours as well. your writing is good for what ails. it never fails. never will: signed, Phil.
