Cogito ergo sum by Rob LittlerI think “I think, therefore I am.”
hinges on the desire to care.
A dog thinks. A dog is.
So be it. We all are.
But being, which is continuous
Thinking is something I am
More than mere radar. The signals:
Things that appear mean more
Than something more than something
More than what coalesces and blips.
We who have eyes, see inward best—
Eyes closed, or missing; Eyes open, or blazing
It is the daydreamer’s eye
Knows true well, Pondering
I think I am not too.
But before that insight can be
Picked up, the blinking red
Light has to mean something.

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 07/06/13 at 10:03 AM a wonderful thought provoker, this ode. sometimes I think too much, thus there is too much of I am to go around, the added parcels from which much or more than the usual is expected. |
